Part of the members of the Special Purpose Battalion from the Special Operations Regiment with their colleagues from the special forces of Albania and Bulgaria participated at the trilateral exercise “Joni 19”.
In the past ten days at the “Pashaliman” naval base in Valona, Albania diving teams from the three countries exercised together and realized assigned tasks. One of the aims of this mutual exercise besides the cooperation and the exchange of experiences was the strengthening of the regional partnership. The thirty divers who participated in the exercise, exercised different boarding operations as well as underwater activities in day and night conditions.
Exercises of this kind and similar to this provide to maintain the readiness of the unit on a highest possible level, and also to strengthen the friendly relations with the colleagues from the other countries.
