From 16.11. to 29.11.2014 members of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade participated in the international exercise „Platinum Wolf-15“ that was conducted in „South“ base in the vicinity of Bujanovac, Republic of Serbia.
Besides members of the ARM, members of the Armies of Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania as well as members of the US Marine Corps as assistants in the exercise, and members of the Gendarmerie of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia participated in the ten-day tactical exercise.
During the exercise the members of the armies of the participating countries carried out efficient use of non-lethal weapons, planning, preparation and execution of various joint tasks in peacekeeping missions in international surrounding.
Numerous topics from peacekeeping operations were covered during the training, such as:
Non-lethal weapon systems, check point duties, demonstration control, convoy escort, cordon and search, foot and vehicle patrolling; battle in urban environment and protection of forces.
In addition to the combat training on 23.11.2014 the members of ARM participated in a indoor soccer match and won the first place.
