The excellent military cooperation between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway in the past period, especially between military orchestras, has been deepen with today’s donation of musical instruments for the Military Orchestra.
With an appropriate ceremony at the Ilinden barracks, in presence of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, the non-resident Defense Attaché of the Kingdom of Norway, Lieutenant Colonel Dag-Magne Lunde and a representative of the General Staff, Colonel Darko Kocovski, an agreement was signed and several types of wind and percussion instruments along with music desks were handed over to the military orchestra of the Honour Guard Battalion.
The Army military orchestra performed together with members of the Kingdom of Norway Royal Guards in the center of Skopje last year, as part of the activities to mark the jubilee.
This donation is one of many from the Kingdom of Norway. So far they have donated sophisticated equipment for telecommunication links protection, medical materials and computer equipment, they provided support for the Public Affairs Regional Center, and one especially important donation is the light maneuvering field hospital.
