In accordance with the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2024, between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of National Defense of the Hellenic Republic, in the period from 3 to 5 December 2024, a Working Meeting with a delegation from the Hellenic Republic on cooperation in the field of geospatial support was held at the General Staff of the Army.
The delegation from the Hellenic Republic was led by Brigadier General Charalampos Paraschou, Commander of the Hellenic Military Geographic Service of their Armed Forces.
The activity was hosted by J-2/General Staff of the Army, and the delegation from the Hellenic Republic was welcomed by the Director of the General Staff of the Army, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski, who thanked the representatives from the Hellenic Republic for the support and mutual cooperation at the bilateral level, in various fields.
During the meeting, the current cooperation between the two countries in the specific area was reviewed and areas for future cooperation were defined.
During the activity, a visit was also made to the Agency for the Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of North Macedonia (AREC), as the national agency responsible for cartography, during which the delegation from the Hellenic Republic was introduced to the capacities and capabilities of AREC.
According to the conclusions of the meeting, cooperation with the Hellenic Republic in the area of geospatial support will continue in the upcoming period.
