In the period from 4 to 8 September in the “Holiday Inn” hotel in Skopje, two meetings of two NATO bodies in the field of NATO standardization were successfully held. In the organization of the section of the General Staff, “Military Planning and Force Structure”, as the host of the NATO standardization bodies, meetings of the “10th LIS WG” – (Land Interoperability & Standardization Working Group) and “53rd HIS WG” – (Helicopter Interservice Working Group) bodies were held, which are part of the MCLSB (Military Committee Land Standardization Board).
Within the framework of the obligations fulfillment of the Republic of North Macedonia towards the NATO standardization system, through participation in the organization of the events in the role of the host country, our country has shown that through its national representatives it takes an active part in the work of the NATO standardization bodies and continuously fulfills the obligations towards NATO.
At the opening of the activity, the Director of the General Staff of the Army, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski, emphasized that the attention with which we approach the building of the standardization system in the Army shows commitment and primary focus on achieving, maintaining and upgrading the interoperability at all levels and in all areas, through implementation of the standards, equipping, modernization and defense planning, with the aim of achieving high operational effectiveness of our forces in NATO-led operations.
