Today, 24 July, ARM carried out the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for providing support to KFOR in case of emergency medical evacuation (MEDEVAC). The test was conducted in accordance with the prescribed procedures for this activity, and it was performed at the Ilinden Barracks in Skopje and in other ARM units.
The activity was conducted by the ARM units, representatives from KFOR and the Sistina Clinical Hospital staff, and observed by representatives from the NATO Advisory Team, representative from the KFOR HQ, the U.S. Air Attaché, the Director of the Department of Health in the U.S. Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia and the Director of the Sistina Clinical Hospital.
The activity took place after the signing of the parliamentary agreement between the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and KFOR and the preparation of the SOP by the ARM.
The SOP define the obligations and duties of the ARM commands and units to be deployed in case of emergency evacuation of personnel to KFOR. These procedures have been practically tested and the activity was aimed at their specification and updating.
