On the occasion of the Republic Day – August 2nd, Ilinden, the Army took part in the commemoration of the 116th anniversary of the Ilinden Uprising and the 75th anniversary of the first Assembly of ASNOM. By laying wreaths of fresh flowers and with military honors in Skopje, Pelince and Krusevo, the Army delegations took part in the celebration of the national holiday.
The delegation led by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski laid fresh flowers on the monuments of ASNOM, Nikola Karev and on the monument of the first President of the Presidium of ASNOM, Metodija Andonov Chento. The Army delegation led by the General Staff Director, Major General Zoran Mileski laid fresh flowers on the tomb of Nikola Karev, the monument on Meckin Kamen in Krusevo, while the Army delegation led by the Deputy Commander of JOC, Brigadier General Orce Jordev laid fresh flowers in front of the ASNOM Memorial Center in Pelince.
