A professional team from the National Guard of Vermont, the USA, visited the Army and the MoD to talk about management of human resources. The aim of this visit was human resources management and improvement of the professional development process, which is quite important in the implementation process of the Strategic Defence Review (SDR) provisions. This is the third visit of the team after having already visited our country in October 2018 and August 2019.
The human resources experts exchanged experience connected to the professional development process in strategic, operational and tactical level. In addition, they gave their advice concerning the related activities within the implementation plan of SDR-2018 about the human resources management in the Army.
Moreover, the experts discussed the transformational process of human resources management in the Ministry of Defence and the Army as well as the required strategic documentation. Additionally, they discussed the development plan of manning the light infantry battle group, management process of professional development and Army personnel evaluation process including human resources management at the level of brigade/battalion in the National Guard of Vermont.
At their final briefing on the 06.02.2020, the Human Resource Management team in the National Guard of Vermont presented the results of their few-day-long visit. They briefed the State Secretary of the MoD, the GS Director, MoD and GS of the Army representatives of the organizational units, and the representatives of the US Office for Defence Cooperation.
The experts team declared their contentment for the effort put in the transformational process of human resources management in the Army including recommendations for further development of the transformational process.
