On 23 May 2014 (Friday) part of the ARM members engaged to assist in the Republic of Serbia during the state of emergency due to the flooding, were seen off from Obrenovac. On behalf of the Chief of General Staff (GS) of the Army of Serbia, the ARM members were addressed by the Head of Human Resources at the General Staff of the Army of Serbia, Major General Sladjan Djordjevic. On this occasion, he thanked the ARM members for their professional work and assistance given in Obrenovac, adding that the ARM engagement in the Republic of Serbia during the floods contributed to improving the cooperation between the two countries and armies as well.
The ARM members who completed their engagement in Obrenovac safely returned to their home unit in the early morning hours of May 24th (Saturday). Part of the ARM members still remained engaged in Obrenovac with the task to participate in eliminating the consequences of the great floods which especially affected Obrenovac and its surroundings, where huge damage is caused.
Based on the decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the ARM on 17 May sent trained personnel with material and technical resources and equipment to Obrenovac, Serbia and 3 thousand blankets to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
