The Army of the Republic of Macedonia, based on the decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, today (17.05.2014) has sent humanitarian aid to the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the areas mostly affected by floods.
Today, ARM sent trained personnel with recourses and equipment for providing humanitarian aid. ARM also sent 3000 blankets together with the rest of the humanitarian aid from the Republic of Macedonia, which is on its way to the flooded areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The ARM Humanitarian aid is part of the Humanitarian Contingent of the Republic of Macedonia, providing aid to the flooded regions in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives from the Protection and Rescue Directorate are also accompanying the contingent heading for the Republic of Serbia.
ARM`s humanitarian aid for the flooded areas in the neighboring country and the Balkan Region confirms its readiness to provide assistance in case of natural disasters outside of the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.
