At the military stadium in the City Park in Skopje and at the sports grounds in the garrisons throughout the country, the members of the Army marked the International Military Sports Council Day (IMSC).
The President of the Military Sports Council at the Ministry of Defense, in his address for the opening of the central tournament wished success and fair competition to all members, emphasizing the importance of sport as a mechanism to compete, confront, win and defeat, but also for joining nations through sporting events in sports arenas instead of battlefields.
In the year that marks the seventy-one year of the establishment of the IMSC, the Army held this event for the fourteenth time with the sporting competitive disciplines: football, basketball, running, table tennis and chess. The participants with the best results received awards.
Since 2005 the ARM is a full member of the International Council for Military Sports, with the right to participate in all international sports competitions organized by this international military sports association.
