A moment of silence and the act of laying fresh flowers at the monument at Katlanovo Blace and at the Command of the Air Force WING marked 15 years of the helicopter crash when eleven servicemen of the Air Force WING got killed on their way back from the peacekeeping mission ALTEA.
The family of the killed servicemen laid fresh flowers at the monument at Katlanovo Blace, as well as a delegation from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Army which consisted of the Deputy Minister of Defense, Bashkim Hasani, and the Director of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Zoran Mileski, a delegation from the Cabinet of the President and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, from the municipality of Petrovec, the Operations Command, Air Force WING and from the 1st Infantry Brigade.
15 years of the helicopter crash was also marked by the Air Force WING service personnel at the monument in the military barracks “Strasho Pindzjur” in Petrovec.
A sign of respect was also given at the military base Butmir in Sarajevo, where there was a commemoration ceremony at the memorial park, in honor of the eleven servicemen of the Macedonian contingent of the peacekeeping mission ALTEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
15 years ago, on their way back from the peacekeeping mission ALTEA the following servicemen were tragically killed in this helicopter crash: Lieutenant Colonel Toni Spasovski, Major Goran Ristovski, Captain Brane Spasovski, Captain Igor Gjoreski, Sergeant Slavcho Vasilev, Sergeant Toni Davitkovski, Staff Sergeant Janko Shirikj, Staff Sergeant Aleksandar Taskovski, Sergeant Miki Ivanovski, Sergeant Aleksandar Vasikj and Corporal Zlatko Veljanovski.
