Today, 25th November, the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski met the KFOR Commander Major General Salvatore Farina, who was in an official visit of the GS of the ARM.
During the meeting, held at the GS of the ARM, the security state of the region was discussed, and the possibilities of improvement of the cooperation with the KFOR forces, as well as information sharing with the ARM. The KFOR delegation was introduced with the ARM transformations and with its participation in the peace operations, while the guests, on the other hand, presented the security state of the area of responsibility of this mission, as well as the activities and the future plans of KFOR, to the GS of the ARM.
During his stay at the GS of the ARM, General Farina also had a meeting with the Minister of Defence Talat Xhaferi.
Both sides agreed that the ARM and the KFOR forces established an excellent cooperation and that it will continue in the future in the interest of the security of the region.
As is well known, in June 2007, the Host Nation Support Coordinative Centre, which is part of the Logistics Support Brigade of the ARM, was set to a state of full operational readiness. Its main task is to coordinate with the KFOR forces during customs and border procedures for transport, including other needs of KFOR in the area of logistics support, directly involving the ARM in the KFOR mission.
