From today until 17 July officers from the ARM GS will be visiting the centre for pilot training (CPT).
At the beginning of today’s visit, the officers were welcomed by the director of the centre and a former helicopter pilot in the Israeli Army, Mr. Shraka Jaari.
The visit continued with a presentation by the instructor Dragan Nedelkovki. During the presentation, he gave an overview of the mission of the CPT, explained the manner in which the selection of people for admission is done, and then gave an overview of the training. He highlighted that the aim of CPT is to not only train pilots, but leaders who can cope with all situations they might face on the battlefield.
The visit ended with a presentation of the aircraft from the composition of CPT, the centre for aircraft maintenance and MI-24 and MI-17 helicopters flight simulators. Here, a special emphasis was given to flight simulators, highlighting what makes them distinctive is that with them you can train crews for team assignments for MI-24 and MI-17.
At the end of the visit, apart from getting acquainted with the capacities and capabilities of CPT, the visitors could not hide their pleasure at having such a centre here, which for its facilities, capabilities and trained personnel is one of the top centres not only in the region but worldwide as well.
