The members of the Special Operations Regiment and the Military Police Battalion were among the first units of the Army of Republic of Macedonia who were engaged during the summer devastating floods in the Skopje region.
These units were selfless and gave their maximum in eliminating the consequences of the storm, paying special attention to the youngest in this region.
Representatives of these units together with the commanders of the Joint Operations Command, Special Operations Regiment and Military Police Battalion, in the eve of the New Year’s holidays, visited the pupils in the primary schools “Cyril and Methodius”, “25th of May” and “Krste Misirkov” in Stajkovci and Chento.
The youngest pupils were given juice boxes and chocolates as a symbol of mutual respect, and the pupils expressed a desire to visit the units, hoping that these visits will become a tradition.
The locations of these schools were used for different activities in the abovementioned period, as a tactical operation centre and as distribution and coordination centres in which ARM had a constant engagement.
