ARM servicemen who are going to perform staff duties in the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and ALTEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina had an official meeting with the Chief of GS of ARM, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski and the Minister of Defense Zoran Jolevski.
The Turkish Ambassador to Republic of Macedonia, Omur Sholendil and the Turkish Defense Attaché to Republic of Macedonia, Gokhan Yigiturk were also present at the meeting.
General Velichkovski said that this group of peacekeepers has passed the selection process for mission deployment therefore, he expects them to successfully perform their tasks in order to sustain as well as increase the level of performance which Macedonian peacekeepers have set by taking part in different peacekeeping missions. He also said that they would contribute to further affirmation of the Republic of Macedonia.
The officers in command presented the pre-deployment training which the ARM servicemen had already done during the preparation period as well as their assignments which they would do in their six-month rotation.
Prior the reception, the ARM servicemen met the Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Brigadier General Vasko Gjurchinovski.
This is the third rotation consisting of 13 staff officers and NCOs which will be sent to the Train Advise and Assist Command within the Resolute Support Mission and the second rotation in the ALTEA mission, which consists of 2 staff officers.
