Members of the Logistics Base (LB), in a symbolic way and complying with all measures and recommendations for dealing with pandemics, marked May 20- the Day of the Unit at the ‘Ilinden’ barracks, in conditions when the Army is engaged in support of state institutions in preventing the spread of the pandemic caused by Covid 19.
Addressing the unit, LB Commander Colonel Muharrem Muharemi, congratulated and praised the Army members for their engagement and logistical support in dealing with the current global health crisis.
In addition, Colonel Muharremi referred to the challenges, tasks and activities which are expected in the following period and which our country will take part in as a full-fledged member of NATO.
At the ceremony on the occasion of the day of the unit, congratulations were read and incentive measures were announced to the members of the unit, for their effort and the achieved results. In the previous period, the members of the command and part of the units in cooperation with the Institute for Transfusion Medicine – Skopje took part in blood donation actions, and members of the Military Medical Center, which is part of the Logistics Base, in support of the health system enabled full operability of the light manoeuvre hospital ROL – 2 within the area of the Infectious Disease Clinic in Skopje.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of General Staff, Deputy Chief of General Staff, Director of GS and commanders of the Operations Command and TRADOC who expressed their support to the LB members for the effort and the activities carried out in the current situation.
