ARM Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski had a farewell meeting with Colonel Jozef Vishtavel, non-resident defense attaché of Republic of Slovakia to Republic of Macedonia and introduction to the newly appointed defense attaché, Colonel Branislav Piliar.
At the meeting General Velichkovski thanked Colonel Vishtavel for his engagement on improving the bilateral relations between the two armies, and at the same time wished the newly appointed defense attaché Colonel Piliar successful execution of the new duty.
During the conversation the amicable relations between the armies of Republic of Slovakia and Republic of Macedonia and mutual efforts for further advancement of the bilateral relations in the field of defense were emphasized.
Previously the defense attachés were greeted by the Deputy Minister of Defense Iljmi Selami.
Republic of Slovakia appointed a defense attaché to Republic of Macedonia that is non-resident and performs the duty from Belgrade, R. Serbia for the first time in 2006, and since then the bilateral defense cooperation in the area of training, military education and exchange of professional experience was intensified by meetings and communication.
