A delegation of the Army, led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, held a working meeting today, 5 June, in Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Republic, with the Commander of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR), Lieutenant General Grigoris Bountliakis.
During the meeting, current security issues were discussed, along with opportunities to further enhance cooperation and coordination between the Army and the NRDC-GR Command.
As part of the visit, Major General Lafchiski also met with the Army representative assigned to this multinational headquarters.
The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece is a multinational headquarters based in Thessaloniki. Guided by its motto, “Capable now, ready for tomorrow, adapting to the future,” the Corps maintains a high level of readiness to conduct a wide range of military operations within its area of responsibility and beyond, ensuring a timely and effective response to contemporary security challenges.
