In the last two days bilateral talks were held in the Army Home, between representatives of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Republic of Greece and the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, in order to determine the modalities and areas for strengthening further bilateral military cooperation.
At the opening of these talks, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski in front of the delegation of the Greek Armed Forces, led by Brigadier General Nikolaos Triantafilou, thanked for the support so far and asked for deepening of the cooperation in exchange of experiences and knowledge that will help us respond to all future challenges in our integration, now as a full member of the Alliance.
Topics discussed by the working groups during this working visit were strengthening the cooperation in the field of NATO defence planning, standardization, military education, special forces training, cyber defence, military medicine and logistics.
During this visit, Brigadier General Nikolaos Triantafilou met with the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, where he expressed confidence that the current cooperation will continue in the future through additional forms and in different areas. During his stay, Brigadier General Nikolaos Triantafilou was also received by the Minister of Defence, Radmila Shekjerinska. With the realization of the current joint training and exchange of experiences of the Special Forces during the past year, the good bilateral military cooperation has been confirmed.
