Today, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, held a meeting with the renowned artist Bajsa Arifovska. During the meeting, General Lafchiski expressed his gratitude to Arifovska for her selfless engagement to date in joint performances with members of the Army Military Orchestra, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the Army and prominent artists as part of efforts to promote cultural values and tradition.
At the meeting, the Chief of the Army Military Orchestra, on behalf of the Commander of the Honor Guard Battalion and the Army Military Orchestra, presented artist Arifovska with an honorary plaque on the occasion of their long-standing cooperation.
Arifovska expressed her appreciation for the honor and the opportunity to perform together with the Military Orchestra, and expressed her readiness to continue cooperation and support similar cultural and artistic initiatives in the future.
As a soloist, Bajsa Arifovska has performed successfully on numerous occasions with the Military Orchestra of the Macedonian Army. Among the more notable performances are the ceremonies: the 20th anniversary of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” on June 11, 2015; the concert held on October 11, 2022, marking October 11 – the “Day of the People’s Uprising”; as well as the Army Military Orchestra’s New Year’s concert held on December 15, 2025. In addition, she has performed as a soloist on several tours of the Military Orchestra across cities throughout the country, thereby making a significant contribution to the promotion of the military-musical and cultural scene.
Bajsa Arifovska is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, recognizable for her authentic artistic expression. She plays the kaval-balkan folk flute, drum, tarabuka-goblet drum, clarinet, violin, and tambura-traditional string instrument, and is also actively engaged in creating original music. Through her rich musical oeuvre and diverse instrumental expression, Arifovska makes a significant contribution to the preservation and contemporary interpretation of traditional and original music.
Throughout her career, she has given numerous performances at domestic and international festivals and cultural events, as well as collaborated with renowned ensembles, orchestras, and musical artists.
