In the barracks “Ilinden” Skopje, on the eve of the New Year’s holidays, today a working meeting was held, during which the President of the Republic of Macedonia and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Dr. Gjorge Ivanov met with the ARM Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, the Defence Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Radmila Shekerinska, the ARM generals and the leading personnel of the MOD.
At today’s meeting in the barracks “Ilinden”, which is traditionally held at the end of the year in the presence of the highest military authorities, it was discussed about the more significant activities of the ARM that marked 2017, the current situation in the ARM, as well as the plans in accordance with the new security challenges and strategic goals of the Republic of Macedonia.
The ARM members, in the year when the ARM marked the 25th jubilee of its establishment, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and devotion in carrying out their tasks, as well as a willingness in dealing with the challenges that the ARM faced over the past year.
