Today (3.12.2014), the ARM members were actively involved in the action ,, Tree Day “. Based on the coordination with the coordinating body of the action, the Army was engaged at seven points throughout the Republic of Macedonia, where young trees were planted by 350 Army members from eight Army garrisons, as follows:
- In Skopje at the point Miladinovci;
- In Kumanovo at the point Sreden Rid in Mlado Nagorichane;
- In Kicevo at the point Ljuben Srbjani;
- In Veles at the point Lake “Mladost” (over Bela Voda);
- In Prilep at the point Lenishte (Korija);
- In Tetovo at the point Rogachevo (Shishmanovec) and
- In Sveti Nikole at the point Bogoslovec (Golem Dol).
At today’s action, the Army members are expected to plant about 40 thousand different plants at these points across the country.
By joining this massive environmental action in the Republic of Macedonia, the Army, as it was in the past years, will contribute towards the renewal of the forests of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as in building environmental awareness to preserve forests as one of our greatest treasures.
