Today, ARM delegation led by the ARM Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski is finishing their attendance in the NATO’s Chiefs of Transformation Conference, which is held in the Headquarters, Supreme Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk – Virginia, in the United States of America.
Alignment with the transformational processes of the armies with NATO’s transformation, improvement and enhancement of mutual cooperation and relations are some of the objectives of this year’s NATO Conference.
Last three days, prominent military leaders from NATO member countries and Partnership for Peace countries discussed about NATO’s military capabilities, military transformation plans and preparation of countries for future challenges.
The main objective of the Conference was to prepare NATO and their partnership armies for facing potential global challenges in the next few decades by innovative solutions, adaptability transformation of armies in accordance with the technological progress.
Among the topics covered in the forums were “Transformation as a Long-lasting Adaptation Process”, “Long-lasting Implications of Warsaw Summit Key Decisions”, “Improving Decision Making Process by Modern Technology” and other current topics.
At the Conference General Velichkovski met a lot of Generals and Chiefs from the NATO Command and other NATO countries, exchanged experiences regarding the transformation process of their armies, and discussed potential areas of cooperation.
Once again the Generals and NATO Chiefs expressed their support and gave praise to the ARM service personnel for their excellent training and results on their way to reaching the goal of being a NATO member country.
The importance of the Conference was confirmed by the number of participants – this year were involved 600 representatives from 28 NATO member countries and 24 Partnership for Peace countries, as well as representatives from the defence industry who demonstrated their contribution and involvement in the defence process.
