The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, today and tomorrow participates in the first regular session of the NATO Military Committee (MC) in 2022, which is held via video conference, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the two-day meeting, chaired by Admiral Rob Bauer, Chiefs of General Staff of NATO member armies will discuss strategic issues of importance to the Alliance. In the focus of today’s afternoon sessions will be the significance and directions for the implementation of NATO’s strategic military concepts, including the concept of deterrence and defense.
The two-day meeting, in addition to the Chiefs of General Staff, is attended by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Generals Tod D. Wolters and Andre Lanata.
After the full military integration in NATO, the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia continues with the implementation of all planned activities in the process of achieving the given goals for capabilities with undiminished intensity.
The Military Committee, at the level of Chiefs of General Staff, holds two regular meetings during the year and meets once a year in one of the allied member countries.
