Today the General Staff Chief, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurcinovski, participates in the first regular session of this year NATO Military Committee (MC) at the NATO Headquarters in Brusselsin the format of Allies General Staff Chiefs.
During the meeting of the Alliance highest military advisory body, the Chiefs of Staff of the 30 member states will discuss current issues, including NATO-led defense policies and peacekeeping operations, the Alliance concept for further action as well current and future challenges and lessons learned related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the end of the conference, attended by the Supreme Commanders of the Allied Powers Europe and the Allied Transformation Forces, the conclusions will be announced by the Chairman of the MC, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach.
After having joined NATO, General Gjurcinovski participates in the sessions of the MC at all sessions with full right in the decision-making process and adoption of conclusions, which are important for the development of the Army of the Republic of Northern Macedonia for full integration in all NATO segments.
The NATO Military Committee at the level of General Staff Chiefs holds its regular meetings twice a year, and today is the 185th regular conference held with all the measures taken for protection against Covid 19. General Gjurcinovski traveled by military plane from Sofia together with his colleague, the General Staff Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
