Based on the annual training plan of the Medical Training Department, a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course was conducted in the period from 21 to 29 April, 2026.
The course was conducted in accordance with the programme and under the auspices of the Medical Training Centre of the Swiss Armed Forces. Instructors included personnel from the Military Medical Centre, the Logistics Support Battalion, the Reconnaissance-Intelligence Battalion, and the Special Forces Battalion.
The aim of the course was to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills for treatment of life-threatening injuries on the battlefield, as well as rapid evacuation and transport of casualties. Course participants were medical personnel and combat medics from Army units.
The training was conducted through demonstration workstations in the facilities of the Medical Training Department and practical exercises at the training area of the Military Medical Centre. On the final day, an exercise was carried out at the Ilinden Barracks, where all acquired knowledge was integrated. Participants received an internationally recognised certificate verified by NAEMT (National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians).
