In the period from 19 February to 15 March, 2024, the “Basic and Advanced Course for Lifesavers” was held at the Medical Training Department (MTD) within the Military Medical Center.
Members of several units from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia took part in the course. The course participants mastered the life-saving skills in the case of medical emergency, urgent care of injured and ill, triage, evacuation and rapid transportation to an appropriate medical facility, all these through theoretical and practical input.
The participants demonstrated the acquired individual skills, and the team capacities for pre-hospital care of injured and ill, at the final exercise conducted in front of several Army representatives who addressed the attendees at the certificate awarding ceremony. The obtained knowledge, skills and techniques are important for the participants’ professional development at their current posts in the units, and when deployed to international operations.
