A solid proof that all highest commendations given to our service personnel who participated in NATO missions is not by chance is the last commendation given to Lance Corporal Boban Kostovski for being the best soldier in the NATO Mission Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) in Latvia.
Kostovski serves in the artillery battery, which started with their activities in December 2022, as part of the operations within the Slovenian contingent in eFP in Latvia. The Commander of the battle group, Lieutenant Colonel Crag Higgins announced that this Macedonian serviceman is the best soldier in February due to his demonstrated professionalism and motivation in doing his duties. As a token of appreciation, he was given a coin of the mission as a symbolic acknowledgement.
Namely, during the military exercise Wolverine Forge, the Slovenian platoon, where Macedonian artillery battery is embedded, demonstrated the best results, whereas Lance Corporal Kostovski set up high combat standards while doing his duties setting the best example for the others by being motivated, ready, and dedicated. In February, he presented howitzer TN 90 155 mm in front of other members of the contingent in this battle group. In addition, he volunteered to work on the Canadian howitzer M777 155 mm, which made him a part of the demonstrative exercise with that howitzer in front of the Canadian Generals.
His excellent performance results, his enthusiasm, his training and desire to prove himself, were recognized by his superior officers. This is another instance of outstanding and dignified representation of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, which is another proof of the excellent skills and abilities our service personnel possess.
