For the second year in a row, a non-commissioned officer of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia was awarded the third-best ranked student at the NCO School in the Republic of Croatia.
Today, the State Secretary of the Croatian Ministry of Defence, Zdravko Jakop awarded a bronze medal to Sergeant Major Vele Ristovski, who has been attending the NCO School in the Republic of Croatia “Damir Tomjanovic- Gavran”, during 2020/2021 academic year in the 19th generation non-commissioned officers of this NCO military school.
The year before, Sergeant Major Sashka Knezhevikj, who was a student of the 18th generation, was also awarded bronze medal for third-best ranked student of this military school. Besides NCOs from the Croatian army, representatives from other armies are being educated and trained at the NCO school in Zagreb, which shows the dedication and the level of professional readiness of our non-commissioned officers during their education. After their graduation they will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the highest NCO duties in the Army.
Sergeant Majors Vele Ristovski and Sashka Knezjevikj who are Command Sergeant Majors at the Honour Guard Battalion and the Logistic Base, respectively, have implemented lessons learned, in accordance with all NATO standards, by passing on their knowledge to the professional soldiers in their units as their leaders and instructors.
Sergeant Major Vele Ristovski has been a member of the army since 1993. During his military career he has been a Command Sergeant Major at the Training and Doctrine Command and he has had staff duties at battalion and brigade level. He has been deployed to “ISAF” security mission in Afghanistan.
Sergeant Major Sashka Knezjevikj has been a member of the army since 2004. Her previous posts include the 3rd Mechanised Infantry Battalion and the Logistic Support Brigade. She has been deployed to “ISAF” security mission in Afghanistan twice.
