The resident and non-resident attachés accredited in the Republic of North Macedonia today visited the units of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1st MIB) located in the barracks “Chede Filiposki – Dame” in Kichevo. They were welcomed by 1st MIB Commander, Colonel Besnik Emini and Kichevo Garrison Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Trajanoski.
During the visit, through brief presentations, the defense attachés were introduced to the missions, organizational-formation structure, tasks, activities, as well as the challenges and future plans of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade and 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion part of 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade. Following the presentations, the Brigade Commander and the 4th MIB command and staff personnel answered the attachés’ questions about the unit’s current and future activities.
After visiting the barracks, the defense attachés also visited the municipality of Kichevo, where they had a meeting with the mayor of the municipality, Mr. Fatmir Dehari.
The visit of the 1st MIB units by the defense attachés is a regular activity carried out on the basis of the Program of Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense and the Association of Defense Attachés accredited in the country.
