On April 21, 2015 the artillery battalion of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Joint Operations Command was visited by Defense Attachés accredited in the Republic of Macedonia.
The visit was implemented in accordance with the 2015 programme for cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia with the Association of Defense Attachés in the country.
The commander and the key personnel of artillery battalion familiarized the present attachés with the structure, mission, equipment and upcoming activities of the battalion. In the discussion that followed after a brief presentation the attachés and key personnel had the opportunity for mutual exchange of views and experiences in the field of artillery.
In the frameworks of the visit of garrison Prilep the attachés led by the commander of the garrison had a meeting with the mayors of municipalities Prilep and Krushevo.
During the visit of Krusevo the military attaches were familiarised with the history of the Ilinden Uprising and Krusevo Republic. They visited the museum “Makedonium” and the old foundry that operated during the uprising and which had an exhibition of old weapons used by the freedom fighters.
At the end they visited the museum “Memorial House of Tose Proeski.”
