Between 16th and 19th November, 2015 a team from the Brigade for South-Eastern Europe command (South-Eastern Europe Brigade-SEEBRIG) led by SEEBRIG Commander Brigadier General Numan Yediyildiz conducted an evaluation visit of ARM declared units.
ARM units declared in SEEBRIG are part of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1st MIB), within Joint Operations Command. There is one unit from the 1st Mechanized Infantry Company of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion and Engineering Platoon from the Engineer Battalion within 1st MIB.
During the visit, the team evaluated declared mechanized infantry company (MIC) in barracks “Jane Sandanski” Stip. The company commander Major Sutevski Goran and the personnel from the command familiarized the guests with MICoy mission, as well as with the activities and the equipment. The members of the declared company conducted tactical technical exercise “Work at a check point”.
When visiting the declared Engineer platoon in “Ilinden” barracks the team was familiarized with the activities and the equipment of the platoon, and tactical-technical exercise “Maneuvering Loaded Pulley of Engineers Machines” was conducted.
SEEBRIG Commander praised the units and expressed confidence in combat readiness of the declared company and declared Engineer platoon to perform tasks in the South-Eastern Europe Brigade.
The declared units are on their permanent home base locations and are bound by the principle of Task Forces for exercises and operations, upon a decision of the participating countries. SEEBRIG commander is appointed every two year from one of the participant countries.
