Bulgarian Land Forces Commander Major General Mihail Popov invited the Commander of the Joint Operations Command Major General Pavle Arsoski to the Distinguished Visitors’ Day at the military exercise “Strike Back 19”, held at the military training area “Novo Selo” in Bulgaria.
The exercise, named “Mechanized Infantry Battalion in Defence”, was conducted from 6th to 20th of June, 2019. The aim of the exercise was to improve planning of defence operations and counterattack. There were 800 service personnel who took part in the exercise from different countries including Bulgaria, the USA, Greece, Albania, and North Macedonia. Additionally, 200 combat, non-combat vehicles and aircrafts were used in the exercise.
During his visit Major General Pavle Arsoski met high military representatives of the Bulgarian armed forces and other distinguished guests who came to the Distinguished Visitors’ Day. In addition, he met Macedonian service personnel who took part in the military exercise “Strike Back 19”.
Having international military exercises is very important in strengthening of joint security. Service personnel from different armies exchanged their experience by conducting joint military tasks in the course of the military exercise.
