Today, 19 March 2014, at the Air Brigade, cisterns and a container were dislocated from “Banski Rid” with the help of Mi-17 transport helicopter from the transport helicopter squadron.
Due to the task complexity, first, a briefing was held, at which the flying route and the safety measures to be observed were planned as well as the weather conditions as a very important factor when flying.
At the briefing, more scenarios that could occur during flight and procedures in a given situation were elaborated upon.
The flights were conducted under the direction of the Air Brigade Commander and the Transport Helicopters Squadron Commander due to their experience in flights in which the external load is attached to the helicopter fuselage by cable.
The task was carried out successfully and all cisterns and the container were dislocated to the barracks “Strasho Pindzur”.
The execution of these kinds of tasks is part of the training of young pilots, and it also contributes to maintaining the engagement of the more experienced. This kind or similar training and retraining of the flight personnel will continue in the following period.
