In the past period, members of the Engineer Battalion of the 1st Infantry Brigade, together with engineer units from the US Army Europe and Africa Command, carried out a large number of engineering activities as part of the international exercise “Resolute Castle-24”.
As part of the activities of the exercise, the members of the Engineer Battalion together with the other participants upgraded and renewed some of the already existing capacities of the training area Krivolak, but they also expanded it with new facilities. This increased the capacity and functionality of the training area for implementation of various types of exercise activities.
The Engineer Battalion, in coordination with the other participants, took part in the construction of a vehicle wash pad, a sterilization plateau with a capacity of one battalion, they modernized the warehouse for target storage and battery charging, upgraded and corrected the existing landing strip, repaired the range road infrastructure and participated in other activities of the exercise.
With completion of these tasks during the exercise “Resolute Castle-24”, the members of the Engineer Battalion achieved the main goal, by exchanging knowledge and experience to improve their training and achieve interoperability with the allies in performing this type of engineering activities.
