The Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Besnik Emini, participated in the final inspection for military exercise Defender 24 (ROC Drill), from 3 to 5 April, 2024 in US Army Europe and Africa Headquarters in Wiesbaden, where final directions and coordination of all participants in the exercise were provided in order to successfully carry out the exercise.
During his visit, General Emini had an official meeting with US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) Commander, General Darryl Williams, discussing current security challenges, involvement in future joint exercises, as well as the possibility to deepen mutual cooperation in order to increase interoperability. At the same time, meetings with Brigadier General Lutkovski from the Polish Army and the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3 in the US Army Europe and Africa, Brigadier General Ellis were held, with an accent on the development of capacities and support to US Army Light Infantry Battalion Group.
