At the Simulation Center within Training Command and Doctrine (TRADOC) in Veles, the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3MIBn) of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1MIBde) completed a three-day computer assisted exercise “Mechanized Infantry Battalion Assault”. The Simulation Center personnel, mainly simulation system operators, also took part in this exercise.
3MIBn personnel had started the planning process a few days before the beginning of the exercise. They had defined the mission, strength, terrain and tactical maneuvers so that the command staff, company commanders and platoon commanders of the 3MIBn could practice them.
This is the second exercise of this kind conducted by the 3MIBn. They have come up with conclusions and lessons learned which could be used in future exercise planning in the Simulation Center and in cooperation with other army units.
