Personnel of Joint Operations Command (JOC) have carried out a blood donating and humanitarian campaign for donating clothes and shoes in order to mark the celebration of the day of the unit.
According to the program for celebrating the day of JOC, today, 13 October 2014, ten packages of clothes and shoes were donated to the Organization of Red Cross in Kumanovo for the vulnerable categories of citizens.
Prior to this, on 9 October 2014 in the military barracks “Boro Menkov” in Kumanovo there was a blood donating campaign where 40 blood units were donated by the personnel of JOC and the units located within the barracks.
Blood donating and donating clothes and shoes campaign are activities with which the personnel of the ARM by expressing their humanity towards the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia who need this kind of help gave humanitarian aspect of the upcoming holiday.
Apart from the sports and humanitarian activities on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of JOC, in cooperation with the Primary School “Dedo Iljo Malesheveski” from Berovo there has been a competition for the best literature and art works to mark 136 years after Kresna uprising which are going to be displayed at the ceremony in JOC on 17 October 2014.
With the decision of the President of the Republic of Macedonia in accordance with the tradition of important events in history which ARM bases its tradition on, 17 October was set as a Day of JOC in memory of celebrating the day of formation of Kresna Uprising Headquarters in the year of 1878.
