The sixth NATO regional workshop for the “REGEX” exercise was realized from 3rd September to 6th September at the “Holiday Inn” hotel in Skopje, in which 20 partnership countries as well as the NATO Joint Command from Naples participated.
The director of the exercise held an introductory speech and greeted and thanked the participants for their favorable response for participating in the activity, afterwards the Officer of Primary Responsibility Lieutenant Dragan Pavlovski presented the information for the current state of the planning process and the planned activities during the workshop.
Many activities were realized during the workshop including: working in syndicates regarding the plan of the exercise (EXPLAN), operational plan (OPLAN), finalizing the goals of the exercise and training (Exercise and Training objectives) with the representatives of the partnership countries and representatives of the NATO Joint Command for the multinational exercise “REGEX 19”. At the same time, the list for main events and incidents for the exercise was defined as well as the list of participants in the execution phase by the participating countries and also developing and defining the scenario – module 5 and 6.
Apart from the working obligations, the representatives of the participating countries of this workshop had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural landmarks of the city of Ohrid, where they visited the museum on water in the Bay of The Bones and the St. Naum monastery complex.
At the end of the workshop, the director of the exercise and the NATO representative thanked the participants of the workshop for their efforts, announcing the following phase of the planning process of the exercise – training of the key personnel and realization of the exercise from 8th to 18th October at the Simulations Center in Veles.
