In the period from February 16th until February 20th 2015 in the subordinate units of the Joint Operations Command (in the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade), a training was held on the topic “Architecture and configuring of Windows Server 2003 and basics of Microsoft Server 2008 R2”.
The activity was attended by members of the subordinate units that in the future will be responsible for the operation of computer networks in the units.
The training was conducted by lecturers from section S-6. During the training were presented topics which enabled students to get familiarized with the technical features and capabilities of Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Server 2008 R2, practical installation and configuration of the programs, protection of information when dealing with servers and practical activities on the computer servers’ configurations with operating systems Windows 7 and Windows XP.
With the knowledge gained from the training participants will be able to work in the area of configuration and maintenance of computer networks.
These and similar trainings with emphasis on modern and advanced technologies and their implementation in the work of computer networks are scheduled to be carried out at the Joint Operations Command and its subordinate units in the following period.
