In the period from 1 to 12 June 2026, in accordance with the Annual Training Calendar, specialist training on the subject “Field Basing and Survival Training” was conducted in the training areas within the zones of responsibility of the 1st Infantry Battalion (1 InfBn), 2nd Infantry Battalion (2 InfBn), Engineer Battalion, and Military Intelligence Company.
The training was attended by personnel from the Reconnaissance Platoons of the 1st and 2nd Infantry Battalions, as well as personnel from the Engineer Battalion and the Military Intelligence Company, who successfully completed all planned training activities.
The aim of the training was to provide personnel with practical skills for survival in nature by independently creating conditions for living and operating when required, or in situations where there is no regular supply of basic necessities. The training included activities such as constructing temporary shelters and field food preparation facilities, locating and utilizing natural resources of plant and animal origin in the wider training area, and preparing them for use.
Through the execution of this training, the participants enhanced their knowledge and survival skills, increased their confidence in their own capabilities, and practically demonstrated their training level and readiness to perform duties and tasks under real-life conditions, isolated from everyday means and supplies necessary for living and working.
