In the period from 03.02.2014 till 07.02.2014, in accordance with the annual plan for training, members of armor reconnaissance platoons from first and second mechanized infantry battalion (1.mpb and 2.mpb) in the region of “Kraste” Kumanovo and “LISEC” in Stip, trained in winter conditions.
The purpose of the training is their methodical and vocational training and exercises in organizing and execution of battle tasks in winter condition, moving in snow, overcoming snow obstacles with formative and utility assets and work under winter conditions.
In implementation of the training also was planned to make objects from snow in the mountains in winter conditions, view on firing positions with personal weapons in winter, first aid and evacuation of wounded, marches, and way of moving in mountainous terrain in the deep snow.
To successfully face the challenges that the winter conditions carry with them, primarily mountain regions, is need to be physically and psychologically ready. Our members were prepared to face the above challenges, but due to lack of snow in Kumanovo, certain topics part of the planned activities have been replaced with adjustable threads for living and working conditions on the field, but at the end successfully completed at low temperatures, wind and muddy terrain.
