On 9 June 2026, at the barracks “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” in Tetovo, members of the Third Infantry Battalion (3IBn), part of the First Infantry Brigade (1IBde), in cooperation with the Territorial Firefighting Unit (TFU) of Tetovo, organized and conducted fire protection training.
The training was carried out in two phases: a theoretical phase and a practical phase.
During the training, professional firefighters explained and demonstrated the causes of fire outbreaks, fire prevention measures, and the procedures to be followed when responding to and extinguishing fires using the firefighting equipment available to the unit.
During the practical phase, the professional team from the Territorial Firefighting Unit demonstrated firefighting procedures, including the use of firefighting equipment and extinguishing agents, the proper use of protective equipment, and other related procedures.
The training was conducted at the beginning of the summer season, a period when the risk of fires in both open and enclosed areas is significantly increased.
