At the barracks “Chede Filiposki-Dame” in Kichevo, the service personnel of the 1st Infantry Battalion (1 InfBn), part of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1 InfBde), in cooperation with the Territorial Firefighting Unit (TFU) and the Public Enterprise “Macedonian Forests” from Kichevo, organized and conducted fire protection training.
The training was conducted in two phases: a theoretical and a practical phase.
During the training, professional firefighters demonstrated and explained the causes of fire outbreaks, the implementation of fire prevention measures, and the procedures to be followed when extinguishing fires using the organic firefighting equipment available to the unit.
During the practical part, the professional team from the Territorial Firefighting Unit (TFU) demonstrated the procedures undertaken for fire suppression, namely: firefighting in a building, the extraction of casualties, as well as the procedures and protocols in the event of a motor vehicle traffic accident.
The training was conducted at the beginning of the summer season, when there is a real increase in fire risks both in open areas and in enclosed spaces. Fire protection training, in cooperation with the territorial firefighting units, will also be conducted in the remaining units of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1 InfBde).
