October 29, the Day of the Military Police Battalion (BnMP), was marked at the Ilinden Barracks, in compliance with the measures and protocols for dealing with the consequences of the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The ceremony was attended by: the Deputy Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Orce Jordev, the Commander of the Barracks, Colonel Muharem Muharemi and commanders of other units in the Army.
In his address, Brigadier General Orce Jordev, in addition to congratulating the members of the BnMP, stressed the contribution of the unit in the affirmation of the Army and the selfless contribution to the engagement in the state of emergency to support civilian structures in dealing with the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, paying his special tribute to them.
The Commander of the BnMP, Lieutenant Colonel Kire Nikolovski addressed the present members and guests emphasizing that the execution of a large number of tasks related to the mission of the unit and the realization of the transformation process confirms the creation of a modern unit recognized by all domestic and foreign partners.
The battalion was responsible for the preparation of the first contingent of Macedonian soldiers, as a full member of the NATO Alliance, who will participate in the KFOR mission in Kosovo and alongside members of other NATO member states will contribute to strengthening regional security.
The received congratulations from the other Commands and units of the Army were read at the ceremony, as well as the orders for promotion and granting of incentive measures.
