On 04.01.2015 (Sunday) in barracks “Mirche Acev” in Prilep, the Day of the barracks and 72 years of the death of the national hero Mirche Acev were marked.
At the ceremony beside the members of the Artillery Battalion (ArtyBn), of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, other guests were also present. Representatives of the local government, the Association of War Veterans, religious associations, civilian associations and non-governmental organisations were among the guests who attended this ceremony.
The ceremony stared with laying fresh flowers at the memorial bust of the national hero and then the biography of the hero himself, after whom the barracks in Prilep were named, was read.
Bouquets of fresh flowers were also laid by the representatives of ArtyBn, representatives of the War Veterans Association and the local government, as well as students and teachers from the gymnasium “Mirche Acev” in Prilep, at the Tomb of the Unconquered and the memorial bust in the gymnasium in Prilep.
