The 18th anniversary of the death of the members of the security forces from the Tetovo garrison in the 2001 conflict has been denoted by placing fresh flowers on the memorial in front of the Head Quarters at the “National Hero Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” barracks.
The members of the Army employed in the Tetovo garrison paid tribute to the dead, and the commander of the Tetovo garrison, the Lieutenant Colonel Izeir Ejupi in his speech said: “We are gathered here today to pay tribute to the six members of the Tetovo garrison who gave their lives to defend the homeland during the 2001 conflict. Isak, Nikolche, Pece, Vlatko, Blagoja, Blashko! You showed what does it mean to be a patriot and how to love your own country. It is our duty to keep in memory your heroism by which you indebted the current and the next generations of the Army. ”
Delegations from the command of the first mechanized infantry brigade (1.mibr), the units stationed in the Tetovo garrison, the Union of Veterans, war invalids and the families of the fallen fighters, laid fresh flowers on the memorial in the barracks.
