Today (October 21, 2025), in the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje, the members of the Signals Battalion marked “October 21” – the Day of the Unit with a military ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, representatives from the Operations Command, other commands and units of the Army, former commanders of the Regiment and the Signals Battalion, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, as well as representatives from the Red Cross, the PE “Macedonian Forests,” the Ministry of Interior, and the business sector.
In his speech, the acting commander of the Signals Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ace Karajovanoski, emphasized the role of the battalion’s personnel in the realization of the international exercise Immediate Response 2025, during which they ensured uninterrupted communication and information support for all participants. He also highlighted the cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, with whom bilateral discussions are being conducted to further develop the NATO Federated Mission Network concept, which will establish interoperability with other partners of the NATO Alliance.
As part of the celebration of the Unit’s Day, incentive measures were given to part of the personnel, and a technical-tactical display was organized, presenting the battalion’s communication systems and equipment.
Furthermore, a blood donation campaign was carried out, during which 28 blood units were collected, as well as a humanitarian action with donations for the PI “Institute for Children and Youth” – Skopje, and several sporting events.
