Today at “Strasho Pindzur” barracks in Petrovec and “Mirche Acev” barracks in Prilep, the patron day and the 77the anniversary of the deaths of the National Heroes Strasho Pindzur and Mirche Acev were marked.
At the barracks in Petovec, fresh flowers were laid by delegations from the Operations Command led by Major General Pavle Arsovski, from the Command of the 1st Infantry Brigade, from the Command of the Air Brigade, representatives from the Municipality of Kavadarci and the Museum of Kavadarci, the Association of Veterans of Republic of North Macedonia and representatives from the City of Skopje, and at the barracks in Prilep, fresh flowers were laid by delegations from the 1st Infantry Brigade, the Artillery Battalion, the Municipality of Prilep and the Union of Veterans from Prilep.
At the ceremony, history classes on the lives and deeds of the national heroes Strasho Pindzur and Mirche Acev were held.
Maria Mihova, a historian from the Museum of Kavadarci, addressed the present at the barracks in Petrovec, where she spoke about the life and the deeds of Strasho Pindzur, also the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Besnik Emini addresses the audience and said that the marking of the patron day strengthens the link between the present and the rich history of the Macedonian people and that the members of the Army were obliged to respect the deeds and the given lives for free and independent country.
The historian Ilija Velkovski and Lieutenant Colonel Gjorgji Vasilevski spoke about the life and the deeds of the national hero Mirche Acev at the marking of the patron day at the barracks in Prilep, and also the students from “Mirche Acev” High School from Prilep recited verses dedicated to Mirche Acev.
With the annual marking of the day of their deaths, the members of the barracks in Petrovec and Prilep contribute to keep the deeds of the national heroes Strasho Pindzur and Mirche Acev in the memory of the future generations of the Macedonian people.
